1. Pay your tuition 2. Order your books
  • Books and book information can be found online at www.bismarckstate.edu/bookstore.
  • Allow at least one week to receive books in the United States. Allow more time if located overseas.
3. Check your email
  • The Student Finance, Financial Aid, Student Records and other offices on campus communicate primarily by email.
  • Online students receive an email 2-3 business days after registration regarding their course(s), login information and course orientation information.
  • Check your emails and please READ them.
4. Communicate
  • Be in contact with your instructor and advisor.
  • Keep your instructor posted on if you are not able to participate for 1-2 days or have a major situation that arises that will prevent you from doing your coursework.
5. Register on Job Seekers
  • Free service to students to check for job openings
  • Apply through the site and post your resume
6. Work hard!
  • What do you want your potential or current employers to see? - Potential employers request transcripts before hiring. Existing employers often reimburse tuition based on the grade earned.
